FOUNDER/ REGISTERED NURSE

Welcome everyone to our exciting new endeavor! I'm Mrs. Khaira, and we've named this 'Galabata' because it perfectly embodies our mission. As a second-generation Canadian with two young daughters, I struggled to impart strong Punjabi language skills in them and I understand many people in my demographic are facing the same challenge. More recently, with my own children I have started to see progress and am eager to share what’s been working.

Drawing from my lengthy background as a public health nurse, I've gained years of invaluable experience in health protection and promotion education. I understand that individuals thrive when learning in interactive and engaging environments. It's this awareness that prompted my collaboration with Ms. Natt to bring this concept to life.

Hello, I'm Ms. Natt, and I am thrilled to be a part of Galabata! With over 15 years of teaching experience, I have had the privilege of supporting students' growth and learning journeys. In addition to my teaching role, I've spent two enriching years as a vice principal, which has deepened my understanding of educational leadership. My passion for fostering growth led me to pursue a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Management, equipping me with valuable insights to contribute to Galabata's mission.
