Drop off/Pick-up:

Parent/Caregiver must remain on-site with their child until they have handed their child off to a Galabata employee who has marked off their attendance. A $25 late pick-up fee will be applied for students who are not picked up within 15 minutes of their class end time.

Payment:

Payment will be due on the 1st of each month. For mid month registrations, cost will be prorated and due at time of registration. As of August 1, 2024, standard class cost is $110.00/ month. Promotional prices may vary. Most months will have 4-5 classes/ month. The months of March and December will have 2-3 classes/ month depending on Abbotsford/ Surrey school district breaks. Fees will remain consistent for all months to account for insurance and facility fees. Any changes in class cost will be communicated by email and in a timely manner.

Refund Policy:

Fees for weekly class are non-refundable. Camp deposit is non-refundable. When the remaining camp payment is made, it becomes non-refundable one month before camp start date.

Class Withdrawal:

To withdraw from our programs, notify us by the 15th of the month to complete your withdrawal by the end of that month. If you notify us after the 15th, your withdrawal will be effective at the end of the following month.

Missed Class Policy:

There will be no make-up classes, credits or refunds offered at this time. As additional classes are added, this policy will be reviewed.

Extended Absences:

We are unable to hold your child's space in the class without payment. If your child will be absent for an extended period of time and you want to stop payments, please submit a withdrawal request by email. You can re-enroll or join the waitlist when they're ready to return. To keep their spot, you can continue making payments.

Waitlist:

If the class you want to register in shows full on the website, that means that there are no spots available and you will be added to a waitlist. When a space becomes available, we will contact waitlisted students. You will be given a deadline to enroll, once this deadline passes, we will move on to the next child on the list and you will be removed from that waitlist.

Class Cancellations, Instructor Substitutions and Changes:

In unforeseen circumstances, we reserve the right to cancel or change class times or days; in either case, notification will be provided by email or text message. Teacher illness may occur and, in such events, may also necessitate a temporary substitute instructor for your student's class.

Inclement Weather/ Road Conditions:

In the event of severe weather conditions, Galabata reserves the right to cancel in-person classes for the safety of students and staff. Notifications will be sent via email and posted on social media at least two hours prior to the class start time and a credit will be applied to the following month's invoice for any missed classes due to weather.

Holidays/ Stat Holidays:

Classes will not run during stat holidays or Abbotsford & Surrey district Spring and Winter breaks. 

Communication:

Communication from Galabata regarding payments, registration, closures and other important news is all sent via email. Please ensure you have a valid email address on file. We are not responsible for emails that are not delivered due to you unsubscribing to our emails. Please mark emails as ‘not junk’,  add our email address to your contacts or follow the directions outlined by your email provider to avoid missing our emails.

Child Safety:

All of our staff, volunteers and substitute staff have completed a criminal record check to clear them for work with vulnerable populations.
